Learning from Cashew Nut in Mozambique

🇬🇧English 🇯🇵日本語 🇪🇸Español 🇫🇷Français 🇧🇷Português

How much do you know about cashew nuts?

You might be shrugging your shoulder or tilting head, thinking why I am asking this.

To me, it was nothing but a part of nuts family (almond, walnut, peanut, etc.), and just learning a bit of this nut was quite interesting (at least to me). In this post, I will share some facts about cashew, which expanded my world. Probably there are not many people passionate about cashew nuts, but it can be a good example to show that any trivial thing can become a part of learning, which lets you see things differently.

How to relate yourself to the global problemsーWorld Refugee Day 2022

English日本語EspañolFrançais, Português

Today is just another day?

Probably “yes” to some people and “no” to some others, including specific groups.

The 20th of June is the World Refugee Day, and this year is something unique because of Ukrainian crisis which caught global attention. As is the case with most crisis, however, it’s been almost 5 months since the attack and we tend to take it for granted because we don’t relate this kind of global problem to “our own thing” as time goes by. And as you read this, there are so many things going on in the world besides the Ukrainian crisis.

As a person who has been working in global aid and refugee issue, in this post, I would like to provide some snapshots of global refugee situation to honor this day, and share some insights into how to relate global problems to our own things.

Ok, I will plant something! ……But how can I do it?

In this post, I will share 12 mistakes (learning) I had from home gardening, hoping they will serve for beginner planters and some lessons might be applicable to other areas.

“A year without learning is a wasted year”

My coaching fellow once told me, and I really liked the phrase.

How was your 2021?

December and January have pretty much the same, but year-end is a great moment to reflect who you are and what you learned to thrive in the next year. In this post, I will capture my examples, hoping you might get something out of it and reflect your own year.

10 Reasons to start planting foods at home

English日本語EspañolFrançaisPortuguês

Among so many things in our planet, there is one big group which maintains life of all living things.

What is it?

Plants. Maybe if we remove Ego from PLANET, it becomes PLANT. WIthout them, our complex eco-system will be destroyed.

We sort of know that it is true, but in a modern convenient society where more and more people live in cities and can do so many things with one click, we tend to detach ourselves from plants.

I was no exception, but I had a chance to start planting food at home (vegetables and herbs) which definitely made my life better, so I would like to share 10 reasons to do so, hoping that some of which (even one, if not all) might apply to you to be a little bit happier.
