Future Education

“Fully 65 percent of today’s elementary school school kids may end up doing work that hasn’t been invented yet.” (Cathy N. Davidson, NYtimes)

“The Jobs Of The Future Don’t Require A College Degree” (Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry, Forbes)

If formal education system exist to prepare graduates for getting jobs and adjusting themselves to the society, it is no doubt that it has to change. However, as is always the case with, it is not catching up with the current situation. (other digital ed system or non formal education are more rapid in this regard.)

Related to that, let me post this famous video in which this guy is criticizing the higher education institution and the way that exams work in educational system.
“Why I hate the school but love education”

“Re-define the education”
“there are more than one way to be educated man”
5 months later in this April, it came out the new one.
The title is “We will not let exam results decide our fate”
The massage is basically the same but still it is inspiring.

As a former teacher, I alywas straggled with the students’ attitude of focusing on the result of the exam, not on where and why they made errors.
I did not like teaching on the textbook, some of which wouldn’t ovbiously be applied to their future.

I hope next generation can thank the educational system. For that, we have to change the system now. The important question to pose is ¨How¨
